报告题目：Real-Time Hybrid Simulation for Research towards Sustainable and Resilient Structures
Dr. Cheng Chen received his B.S. in 1999 and M.S. in 2002 from Tongji University, and Ph.D. in 2007 from Lehigh University. His dissertation focuses on development and numerical simulation of hybrid effective force method. After graduation he continued to work as a research scientist at Lehigh RTMD NEES Equipment Site on real-time hybrid simulation. Dr. Chen later joined San Francisco State University in 2009 as an assistant professor. His research interests include development and application of advanced large-scale structural experimental techniques for earthquake engineering; reliability analysis for real-time hybrid simulation; passive and semi-active damping devices for seismic hazard mitigation; application of advanced experimental techniques for fire structural testing; and seismic reliability analysis.
